Last night after a long day putting in the vegetable garden, I walked out to the garden gate and saw the first fireflies of summer in their dozens in the field beyond. By my reckoning this is at least 2 weeks ahead of schedule, just like nearly everything this spring. It felt like Midsummer with the faeries flitting at the bottom of the garden, so I roused the children and took them outside to welcome summer.
Red Meat to a Red Tiger, eh BG?

Probably global warming, ask your cousin TH about it.

Yup. Fireflies should be here in June. Today sure feels like high summer! Hope you and your family are doing well, Tim. We can't wait to see you.
