Creative Gene's Carnival of Genealogy 10th edition features posts about graveyards this month. A venerable one of mine from last November entitled Hallowed Ground is included, along with a great post by The Genealogue about the story behinds a suitcase-shaped tombstone!
Also this week is the one year anniversary edition of Philobiblon's Carnival of Feminists, which particularly highlights "women’s contributions throughout history (including recent history). So often, it seems, women who were prominent in their own times are lost to societal memory within a generation or two. Yet they can be an inspiration, a source of ideas, hope." I am pleased to have my recent post about Gr-great Aunt Het the Suffragist featured among these women.
