The Loyalist Press seems to have picked up the story of Skorka's Raiders. "Batman" Camina has also composed a commemorative ballad of his own: A Tale of Trickery and Misfortune.
And further updates, including more from the Patriot and Loyalist papers, are archived here.
Will rapier wits soothe the savage breast, or inspire new deeds of daring do? I am inspired by my ancestors Col Matthias Ogden of the 1st NJ and Captain Jonathan Dayton of the 3rd, who adhered to proper conduct at the officers mess when unwilling guests of the Crown. I shall assuredly sing for my supper.

Dear Sir,
I have a newly minted Shilling and quite a hunger for sausage. May I inquire as to where I might purchase said excellent sausages of the 35th. There is no address given for the Butcher Skorka - perhaps you could forward it to me at Cabin 23, HMS Jersey, Wallabout Bay, New York.
Yours Sincerely
Pvte John Smith

There was a Battoe of the Fleet
whose Story you now know complete:
how we romped through the King's Land
and they cashiered the Bat-man
of His Majesty's Captain van Vliet!
