Dear readers, please forgive me for taking a break in the endlessly fascinating (at least to me) exploration of myth and memories and my Revolutionary forebears. There will be more in due course to say about Matthias Ogden, Aaron Burr and the rest, but that must wait for another day, for I have just returned, weary from meetings in distant Boston, and without the energy to give this historical series the attention it requires this evening. Tommorrow night we shall resume the tale.
