The next edition of Cabinet of Curiosities, the blog carnival that celebrates the weird stuff we accumulate and the stories behind them, will be December 17th here at Walking the Berkshires. The first edition was a great success so we'll make this a monthly event. The submission deadline for CofC #2 is Saturday Dec 15th to give me time to make sense of the fabulous items, amazing artifacts, and marvelously odd things you have found to write about, either in your own collections or found in the wilds of deepest Blogistan. Come one, come all, and don't be shy. I am sure there is a fascinating explanation for still having the snippets of your great grandmother's baby hair that someone thought to keep for all these years. Actually, there is some of that in my house - my grandmother's - and at age 4 her hair color was identical to my 7-year-old daughter's. And the barber I infrequently visit in my home town has a dingy little space where he cuts hair surrounded by rusted farm implements and no less than 3 Civil War era bayonets in a bucket on the floor. So there you go. Curiosities abound!
