The blog carnival season is back in swing.
The Carnival of Hope is at Rickety Contrivances of Doing Good, while you can find the Carnival of Courage at The Dragonslayers Guide to Life. I discovered both at the same time and present them here together, but each deserves to be taken on its own terms. They are both wonderfully compiled and presented, approaching these related but unique and decidedly complex human values from a variety of angles.
The venerable History Carnival returns after a month's hiatus with its 46th edition, hosted this time at Investigations of a Dog. Personal favorites include Natilie Bennett's post on why Spartan Women Ruled and Maggie MacClean's Amy Clarke, Confederate Trooper (and also of the 11th Tennesse Infantry!) My post on the Cause and Cure of War in 1934 also appears in this fine company.
