Walking The Berkshires has come of age. I began this blog, my first foray into the medium, in the Fall of 2005 at the insistance of my dear friend Charlie, who knew I had a singular perspective to share on the natural world and our place within it. Blogging has allowed me to write again, creatively and on subjects of my choosing, and to develop ideas that may come from my chosen profession or the myriad associations and inspirations I draw from other sources. Charlie got me started on a blog hosted at his own umbrella site, and for the past 8 months I have been blogging Walking The Berkshires from that URL.
Now it is time to assume responsibility for the form, as well as the content, of this site, and I am grateful for the roots and wings that allow me to continue Walking the Berkshires independent of that support. Those of you who link to my site or subscribe to its feed may do so here, and all of the previous content and archives have been exported to this site. There is a link here from the old URL if you happen to find yourself there looking for new content. I am grateful to those of you who regularly read what I present here and look forward to our continued conversations.
